This season has been tough sledding for Gordon Hayward, as he still trying to recover from the gruesome injury that he suffered in his first game as a Celtic back in the fall of 2018. Lately, however, it's become clear Hayward is getting back into the groove we saw that final year in Utah when he became an All-Star. And Hayward officially put those injury demons to bed by authoring a ferocious dunk at virtually exact same spot on the floor on which he injured himself against the Cavaliers.

After a season of poor shooting and struggling to recapture the form he had as a member of the Jazz, Hayward is slowly but surely getting back to what he was.
There's no way you could recall the terrible injury, see him dunk like that, and not get a little misty-eyed.

It remains to be seen if Hayward, an easy guy to root for in the NBA, will be a crunch time contributor for Brad Stevens and Boston down the stretch. But seeing him hooping like this after how bad that injury really was is incredibly encouraging.
