I think John Elway has an elementary school crush on Drew Lock and it shows.

The Denver Broncos GM and former NFL QB himself, John Elway is on the lookout for his organization's next franchise quarterback, and that might be Missouri stud Drew Lock if he has his druthers.

Elway has been seen in close quarters with Lock both during the Arkansas-Missouri game and at the Senior Bowl.

Lock is considered to be one of the best QBs available in this year's NFL draft. Lock completed 883 of 1553 attempts for 12,193 yards, 99 touchdowns and 39 interceptions over his four years at Missouri. The 22-year-old, 6-3 SEC standout has a strong, athletic arm, and is effective in the pocket.

“Of course I’m going to be so excited to get picked up by anybody," said Lock in an interview with Orange and Blue 760. But he has gone on record with regards to the possibility of him landing in Denver, stating he would "love every bit" of playing for Elway.

Joe Flacco is currently the presumptive starter for the Broncos this upcoming season, but if Elway pulls through by drafting Lock come late April, there could be a new QB under center in Denver yet again.

Maybe Elway'll break his curse of struggling to find a new man this time. He really does seem in love.
