Trevor Siemian is on his way to the Big Apple.

Per NFL insider Ian Rapoport, the former Broncos QB has signed a one-year, $2 million deal with the New York Jets.

Siemian will slide into the QB2 spot for the Jets as the backup to Sam Darnold. The former seventh-round pick out of Northwestern faired pretty well as a starter in Denver before backing up Kirk Cousins with the Vikings in 2018.

It was rumored earlier Wednesday that Siemian would be visiting with the Jets and it didn't take long for the two sides to come to terms.

The 27-year-old QB won a Super Bowl with the Broncos as a third-stringer behind Peyton Manning and has decent NFL experience that should be of help to the young Darnold. He also could step in for Darnold (who missed three games last year) in a pinch as a capable starter.

In three seasons in the NFL, Siemian has thrown for 5.686 yards and 30 touchdowns to go with 24 interceptions.
