After six long years, the Denver Nuggets are back in the playoffs so it's only right that they celebrate. The second-longest postseason drought in team history ended Monday night when Denver grabbed a 114-105 road win over the Celtics in IT's return to Beantown. It's been a great year for the Nuggets and their fans, who have been jostling for position atop the western conference standings for all season long.
Will Barton and Gary Harris were huge down the stretch for Denver, drilling 14 threes to help put the Celtics away. The Nuggets don't have the most playoff experience outside of forward Paul Millsap and Isaiah Thomas, but Mike Malone's squad should be a tough out for any team in the west.
This playoff berth comes after a heartbreaking overtime loss to Minnesota on the last day of the regular season last year that kept them one game out of the eight seed.
