It would appear as though Antonio Brown wasn't the only wide receiver who was nearly dealt to Buffalo recently.

Per Peter King of Football Morning in America, Giants general manager Dave Gettleman called Bills GM Brandon Beane to inquire about foisting OBJ onto Buffalo after he learned of the Bills' failed pursuit of AB.

But according to King, "Beane didn't bite."

We have two reactions:

1. "We didn't sign Odell to trade him." Gettleman is still a liar.

2. We know that Brown essentially vetoed his trade to Buffalo, so is it possible that Beane didn't want a similar situation to occur with another hot-headed pass catcher? Especially since OBJ was under the assumption that New York wasn't actively shopping him (thanks, Gettleman).

What other reason could there possible be for denying the services of one of the greatest wide receiver talents of all time?

Perhaps the Giants didn't provide a package that Beane fancied, but to hang up the phone so quickly is astonishing and leads us to believe that maybe the failed AB trade hurt him a lot more than he let on.
