The New York Mets will be one of the most interesting teams to follow heading into the 2019 season after an offseason full of acquisitions. The new-look squad added some big-named stars during the winter months, but one of their most intriguing assets is likely to remain in the minor league this year. Tim Tebow is taking hacks for the team at Spring Training, and while he's a long shot to make the MLB roster, Tebow crushed a home run on Sunday.

Tebow went yard on the first pitch of his initial at-bat, smacking the pitch to right field. It's great to see the former NFL quarterback and Heisman Trophy winner launch a home run and take his trot.

Regardless of how the Mets fare in the regular season, they will always have the option of calling up Tebow to sell some seats. Despite not playing for the big league team, Tebow is real draw and has an intriguing package of tools.

That's one way to make some noise during the MLB's preseason. Whatever you think about Touchdown Timmy, he does know how to show the fans why he traded the football helmet for a batting helmet every now and then.
