In terms of bracketology, both teams are a lock to make the field of 68 for the NCAA Tournament, but if you don't think this game matters for both programs you are surely mistaken.
ESPN's Joe Lunardi currently has Marquette as a 5-seed and Seton Hall as a 10-seed, but that is subject to change.
Tonight's game will feature a premier Big East guard matchup of Marquette's Markus Howard vs. Seton Hall's Myles Powell. You can't come off a better performance than Powell is.
“A lot of what I want to be remembered for here at Marquette is not for what I’ve done on the court, but what I’ve done off. I think my impact is made bigger when I do something for somebody else.” - @markushoward11https://t.co/ciMsjyNi2Y

He scored 29 points... in the first half alone (!) as the Pirates went on to defeat Georgetown 73-57 in their Big East quarterfinal matchup. That's probably the best first half of basketball we've seen in the college game this season.
And on the other side? Howard is a National Player of the Year candidate, no big deal. He only dropped 30 points, seven rebounds and four assists in a quarterfinal thrashing of St. John's.
It's March, it's Madison Square Garden, it's the Big East Tournament. How good does it get?
