Winning a championship against Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide can really work wonders as far as recruiting goes.
Four-star 2020 offensive line prospect Bryn Tucker announced his commitment to Clemson earlier this evening, another feather in the cap for Dabo Swinney and the defending champs.
The Knoxville Catholic lineman had plenty of suitors, including his hometown Tennessee Volunteers, but nothing compares to the opportunity to play for Swinney and the chance to win multiple titles.
Tucker is regarded as one of the best guards in the class of 2020. He ranks seventh among all guards nationally according to 247Sports.
It must be painful for Tennessee to lose out on such a highly-regarded prospect in their own backyard, but these are the breaks.
Tennessee misses out on Knoxville Catholic 4-star OL Bryn Tucker. He's headed to Clemson.— David Ubben (@davidubben) March 14, 2019
Barring some unforeseen circumstances, Tucker will have the chance to do the blocking for blossoming Clemson quarterback Trevor Lawrence, who turned plenty of heads after his fantastic performance against Alabama in the College Football Playoff National Championship
After nabbing the No. 8 player in all of Tennessee, the Clemson Tigers now have the second best recruiting class for 2020. Needless to say, the future looks incredibly bright for Swinney and the Tigers.
