Time and time again in the sports world, we have seen several top prep athletes de-commit from schools and open up their recruitment in order to get an even better opportunity elsewhere.
This time is no different, as 2020 four-star recruit wide receiver Darin Turner announced via Twitter that he will be de-committing from the LSU Tigers.
This is a huge blow for the Bayou Bengals and coach Ed Oregon, who thought that they had this bright prospect locked up in the future. At 6-4 and 205 pounds, Turner is a big, strong receiver that has the wingspan and speed to be a seriously dangerous deep threat at the college level.
Since his de-commitment, the Alabama Crimson Tide and the Arkansas Razorbacks have been named as being in the running to land him.
Turner did not the rule out the possibility of returning to the Tigers in his announcement, so there remains a chance for a possible reunion. Still, with other big name schools beginning to take a look at Turner, the Tigers will need to bring their best pitch to secure this talents in full.
