It's March. If you think you're going to play a game without the chance of getting your heart broken, you're playing the wrong sport. The big dance is around a week away, but that hasn't stopped some teams from getting a little preview of anguish during conference tournament play. Virginia Tech received a quick lesson at the hands of Terance Mann, who hit a running shot to give Florida State the win.

Terance Mann’s running fall away prayer is answered as 4 seed Florida State defeats 5 seed Virginia Tech 65-63 in OT.
That's the beauty and the pain of college basketball
The ACC is loaded with talent, including Virginia, UNC, and Duke but that doesn't mean these two teams should be overlooked. The fourth and fifth seed in the conference had the potential to put on a show Thursday and did not disappoint. These teams needed extra time to figure out a victor which also came in dramatic fashion.
Super competitive game here in Charlotte between Florida State and VA Tech. 6-5 Noles freshman Devin Vassell sends it to OT with the on-the-hop corner 3. pic.twitter.com/fqt6ZpDKbc— Mike Schmitz (@Mike_Schmitz) March 14, 2019
Virginia Tech had a chance to take them down in regulation before an incredibly tough Devin Vassell three to send it into overtime, and then lost on a prayer by Terance Mann. Talk about a brutal way to lose a game.
Buzz Williams' squad will still have a chance to rebound in the tournament, but this certainly won't help their seeding.
