Hitting a buzzer-beater is one of the most exhilarating feeling in all of sports, and Oklahoma Sooners' Christian James hit a vital one in the Big 12 Tournament on Wednesday. Or so he thought. It turns out, James' game-tying three-point shot against West Virginia counted, but was ruled a two-pointer because his foot was on the line.

That hurts.

West Virginia advanced to the next round while Oklahoma was sent home by a fraction of an inch.

It was a devastating blow for Oklahoma, who thought they had secured an extra period of play and a chance to fight for their survival in the tournament.

Oklahoma was bounced from the Big 12 Tournament in a crushing defeat and James will likely remember the shot for the rest of his playing career. He showed his maturity in the post-game press conference, but all in all, this will sting for quite a while.
