After his name was linked to the Yankees for what seemed like an eternity, brand new Philadelphia Phillies star Bryce Harper will get his first crack against the Bombers after spurning them in free agency.

Harper is in the lineup batting third for the Phillies today in a lineup that features most of the team's presumed everyday starters.

That Yankees will combat Harper in the lineup with six presumed Opening Day starters, including Aaron Judge in right field and Giancarlo Stanton in left.

Philadelphia's new messiah has been everything the Phillies could have hoped for early on. Fans have reached a fever pitch, breaking records for jersey sales.

In Harper's first at-bat in Phillie red, he immediately rose to cut hero status by choosing the theme song from The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air as his walk-up music. Rhys Hoskins promptly hit one to Cape Canaveral in what could be a tantalizing glimpse at the future.

Expect a hearty helping of boos when No. 3 digs into the box in Tampa for the first time.
