It's so stacked, in fact, that I can say with confidence that there will be more than just four freshman making immediate impacts in year one.
But, for the purposes of being concise, let's narrow it down to the top four.
4. Tyrique Stevenson, CB
The 4-star cornerback prospect Stevenson is already developed physically and is versatile enough to line up at corner or safety. The Miami product is extremely athletically gifted, and is figured by most scouts to be best situated for either a slot-corner role or safety role at the next level.
3. Clay Webb, OL
The Alabama-raised No. 1 ranked offensive lineman in the country committed treason by turning down Nick Saban and joining the Bulldogs. That's a rarity, as not many 5-star prospects from Alabama escape Saban's grasp. Webb has the tools necessary to play either tackle or guard at the next level, and is polished enough to slot into the starting lineup right away.
2. Nakobe Dean, ILB
The No. 2 ranked inside linebacker prospect in the 2019 class chose the Dawgs over Alabama, Auburn, LSU, and Texas A&M. His biggest impact his freshman year will most likely be on special teams, but make no mistake that this athletically-gifted linebacker will turn heads on defense in year one.
1. Nolan Smith, DE
The No. 1 recruit in the nation obviously takes the top spot on this list. The freakishly-explosive defensive end will be a force to be reckoned with for SEC offensive lines all season long. Smith will give quarterbacks nightmares in 2019. Expect nothing less from the edge-rusher from Florida.
