The field is set for the Missouri Valley Conference Tournament! The event will be held from March 7-10 in St. Louis, Mo. at the Enterprise Center.
Get ready for "Arch Madness."
Loyola Chicago still manages to get the No. 1 seed in the Missouri Valley tourney due to tiebreaker over No. 2 Drake.— Jeff Goodman (@GoodmanHoops) March 3, 2019
The Loyola-Chicago Ramblers, a year removed from their cinderella run to the Final Four, won the conference's regular season championship and have clinched a berth in the NIT at the very least.
The Drake Bulldogs, despite finishing with an identical record in conference play as their rivals from the Windy City, slide to the no. 2 seed due to their two losses head-to-head.
This is a conference of relative parity, as no team finished better than the 12-6 mark set by the top two teams or below the 5-13 record owned by the Evansville Purple Aces. Northern Iowa went from having a chance at the no. 1 seed two games ago to falling to the no. 6 seed down the stretch.

They fell at home to Loyola and had a bad loss against Indiana State this afternoon. #Panthers could now face the #7 seed and need 4 wins in 4 days to get an at-large bid.
Indiana State, Valparaiso, Illinois State and Evansville will play on the tournament's opening night, with the other teams all receiving a bye.
The CBS Sports Network will show the championship game at 2 p.m. ET, which will get the winner into the Big Dance.
The Ramblers beat Illinois State for last year's title after also winning the regular season crown.
