​We're not sure whether ​Tom Brady got the nickname "Psycho Tom" from his unmitigated dominance on the football field or how arduously he takes care of his body off the field. 

Okay, it probably has something to do with his six Super Bowl rings, but still, his vegan diet is straight up outlandish...so much so that it just might have extended ​Rob Gronkowski's injury-plagued career. 

Avoiding added sugars and gluten, Brady's meals comprise of heavy plant protein mixed with vegetables and some grains -- probably the last diet that we'd expect Gronk to make a part of his lifestyle. 

"​​I’m not super, super crazy, but I’m pretty crazy about [his diet],” said Gronk. “I like to go with mostly plant-based diet. I’d say about 75% and then the other 25%, just keeping it clean but eating whatever. I think it’s helped me tremendously. I think it helps me keep playing football and has extended my career."

There you have it folks: the power of eating plants.
