Craig Kimbrel must be tired of waiting.

A Red Sox World Series champion, Kimbrel has spent the offseason flirting with a Boston return, while also reveling in rumors of a potential move back to his former stomping grounds in Atlanta. Kimbrel spent his first five seasons with the Braves, making the All-Star team on four occasions.

With the top free agents in baseball struggling to gain top value for their services, Kimbrel is rumored to be closing in on a deal with Atlanta.

Kimbrel would instantly be installed as the closer in Atlanta to sure up a respectable yet flawed bullpen for the Braves. Atlanta's starting rotation leaves plenty to be desired as well beyond Folty, meaning a strong 'pen and back end are essential to the Braves success in 2019, even coming off a surprisingly effective campaign last season.

With fans rightfully calling out the Braves for their lack of spending this offseason (minus Josh Donaldson), this move would supply Atlanta the best closer in baseball and proof to their supporters that they're committed to contending.
