One of the game's budding superstars is staring his 2019 campaign off right by making a young Yankee fan's day.

Second baseman Gleyber Torres was receiving DMs regularly from a young fan on Instagram, who always talked about how much he liked watching Torres play, and would like nothing more than to meet with his favorite player. The 22-year-old infielder soon obliged.

He may be merely entering his second year, but Torres already has the demeanor and behavior of a star on and off the diamond.

The budding young infielder put together an excellent rookie season after slicing through minor league pitching. Torres batted .271 with 24 home runs and 77 RBIs while coming in third for AL Rookie of the Year voting, trailing only teammate Miguel Andujar and the victorious Shohei Ohtani.

If Torres keeps hitting signature jacks like these, more fans are going to want a meet up with the Yankee phenom:

Baseball needs more awesome moments like this. Good on Torres for making that fan's dream come true.
