Mark Ingram

3 Free Agents the Saints Should Target to Replace Mark Ingram

Mark Ingram has been a staple in New Orleans for years now, heading up the Saints' ground attack. However, with his contract set to expire, the Saints need to look for a replacements for the back, so here are three players who could do just that.

3. Spencer Ware

Ware lost favor in Kansas City's backfield once Kareem Hunt arrived in 2017, but before that, the back showed he had ability as a power runner that could rush through opposing defenses. The perfect compliment to the speed-based Alvin Kamara, Ware would be a great fit for New Orleans.

2. T.J. Yeldon

While Yeldon does not run with the power-based style as Ingram in the Big Easy, his time filling in for Leonard Fournette in Jacksonville yielded good results and showed he is perfectly capable of handling a large offensive role should he get the opportunity.

1. Tevin Coleman

Coleman is the perfect fit for the Saints. A back that can succeed in both the passing game and the running game and has the power necessary to complement Kamara's speed, Coleman should be New Orleans' top replacement option for Ingram.
