As we enter February and spring training fast approaches, free agent slugger Bryce Harper still remains unsigned. Plenty of rumors have circulated about where he might sign, which teams he likes and which ones he doesn't. But this old clip of Harper from the 2016 MLB All-Star game should be enough to hype up San Diego Padres fans.

The 2016 All-Star game was held in San Diego, and Bryce can be distinctly heard in the video saying "I love this place" to fellow All-Star and San Diego Padre Wil Myers.

If that isn't enough to get you guessing, I don't know what is.

The Padres have been mentioned in many rumors this offseason but have yet to make a true splash. They are scheduled to meet with Harper, however, and this clip implies that they may not have to do much convincing on the appeal of San Diego.

Whoever signs Harper will be getting a generational talent. He boasts a career OPS of an even .900 and has compiled 27.4 bWAR, an MVP award, and six All-Star selections in his seven years in the league.

If the Padres make a move on Harper, it could be just the thing to jump-start a floundering franchise.
