The drama continues surrounding trade deals for Anthony Davis. Sources say the Los Angeles Lakers have made their first offer to the New Orleans Pelicans in pursuit of AD.

This trade includes young Laker stars Lonzo Ball and Kyle Kuzma, veterans Rajon Rondo and Lance Stephenson and a first-round draft pick for Davis. According to one source, the Pelicans believe this was a "lowball" offer and did not even counter. The Lakers need to bring a lot more to the table if they want The Brow in LA.

Other trade scenarios include Kyle Kuzma, Brandon Ingram, Stephenson, Ivica Zubac and Josh Hart. But apparently, only two young assets would be included in one offer at a time. The Lakers have not offered multiple first-round draft picks or salary cap relief yet.

For the Pelicans, they are not coming out of this without sucking the Lakers dry. In order for New Orleans to agree to a deal before the Feb. 7 NBA trade deadline, it would seem like most, if not all, of those players would be included in packages including multiple first-round picks.

It is understandable why New Orleans wants it all for their superstar. Davis is the Pelicans all-time leading scorer and he is in the prime of his career.

Plus, adding Davis to a roster that would have him paired with LeBron James is lethal. The Pelicans know what the stakes are and are not backing down in demanding what they want.
