The Kohl Center was POPPIN' tonight, as the No. 24 Wisconsin Badgers hosted the No. 21 Maryland Terrapins.
In the end, the home-court advantage proved to be just what Wisconsin needed. Maryland looked sharp in the first half, but a spirited last 20 minutes of play by Wisconsin powered them to a 69-61 win.
Indeed, Maryland came out of the gates hot and entered the halftime break up 36-31. They undoubtedly felt like they were going to come away with a road win over a Top 25 foe.
However, the Badgers exploded on offense in the second half, outscoring Maryland 38-25. Brad Davison had himself a game to remember, scoring a game-high 21 points off 6-of-11 shooting. He buried four 3-pointers on the night.
