Literally no one on planet earth is surprised by this.
This year, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. is expected to keep on swinging that pretty bat of his, sending baseballs into orbit.
And you know what, he'll be doing so this season ranked as the No. 1 prospect in all of baseball. On Saturday night, MLB made it official.
No shock here.

Like I said, everyone saw this coming. Vlad Jr. stole the show last year in the minors, with his homers going viral just about every time he decided to leave the ball park.
In 95 games last season, the kid hit .381, with 20 homers and 78 RBI. At Triple-A Buffalo, Guerrero Jr. appeared in 30 games, hitting six dingers. Just like his old man, he's got an incredible swing, and potent power.
In 2002, Vladimir Guerrero Jr. raised his helmet alongside his father.

Last night, he hit a walk-off HR in that same stadium, wearing his dad's number. pic.twitter.com/EdNHdKbYNg
That's just too awesome.
What does 2019 have in store for Vlad Jr., the home-run specialist? We can't wait to find out.
