During Sunday night's AFC Championship between the New England Patriots and the Kansas City Chiefs, it looks like a fan was trying to distract Pats QB Tom Brady right at the end of the fourth quarter with the game on the line. Check it out below:
I think we can all agree that this is a pretty dumb move by the random fan in the stands if true. Here, we have one of the greatest games in recent history and someone is trying to ruin it by shining a $5 laser pointer in the face of a future HOF QB.
The laser pointer trick would come to no avail, however, as Brady and the Pats would ultimately score a TD on this drive to take a 31-28 lead.
A Harrison Butker FG would even the game at 31-31 though, and send the AFC Championship to overtime. After winning the coin toss, the Patriots were surgical in possessing the ball, and grinding out yards down the field, resulting in a game-winning rushing TD from Rex Burkhead.
Here are some of the best throws from Brady's impressive 348-yard night.
This game will go down as one for the ages, so it's a good thing that a cheap laser pointer did not ruin it.
The Pats will now face off against the LA Rams in Super Bowl LIII after the NFC-representing Rams outlasted the Saints in overtime down in New Orleans.
