This one is going to hurt Andy Reid for a long time.
Yup, this was supposed to be the year for him and his Chiefs. Patrick Mahomes put up numbers you see in video games, while Tyreek Hill, Travis Kelce and Co. were putting together unforgettable seasons.
Yet, everything came crashing down on Sunday night in a brutal 37-31 loss to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. Perhaps no one (other than Dee Ford) is taking the L worse than Reid.
Reid: I’m proud of our players for the effort they gave this year. This was a tough one. This one hurt— Brooke Pryor (@bepryor) January 21, 2019
The Chiefs were down for the majority of the contest, but were able to take a lead late in the fourth. After New England retook the lead with under a minute left, Harrison Butker hit a game-tying field goal to force overtime.
Unfortunately for KC, the Pats won the toss and Tom Brady did what he does best: close games out.

The future is bright for the Chiefs, but tonight's loss will cause many out there, including Reid, to lose countless hours of sleep.
