Vegas is certainly bullish on the Justin Fields-Ryan Day marriage at Ohio State.

The newly minted Buckeyes quarterback was given 12/1 odds to take home the Heisman Trophy in 2019, the same odds as his former teammate and fellow quarterback Jake Fromm. He trails Alabama quarterbacks Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa, as well as favorite Trevor Lawrence.

Fields is expected to start immediately and push former 5-star recruit Tate Martell out of Columbus.

If anything, 12/1 might be too low for Fields, especially given the situation he'd be entering at Ohio State. As a backup to Fromm in 2018, Fields went 27-39 for 328 yards and four touchdowns.

Fields can take off and run, but his cannon of an arm will be perfect for Day's vertical offense.

Even with Dwayne Haskins, KJ Hill, Parris Campbell and Mike Weber all leaving for the NFL, Ohio State is expected to reload with Fields at the center of it all.
