Cody Parkey is not a popular man in Chicago after he whiffed on the game-winning field goal against the Eagles in the Wild Card round of the playoffs. Bears GM Ryan Pace was recently asked about Parkey's future with the team, and his answer wasn't very reassuring for those hoping to see Parkey back with the team in 2019.

Pace said, "That position is an emphasis for us. We understand that we need to get better." Ouch. That's a major shot fired at Parkey, who is still down in the dumps over his botched kick.

Pace didn't hold back when mentioning that the team plans to improve at kicker and that seems to be a nicer way of telling Parkey that he's all but done suiting up for the Bears

Pace was apparently unhappy with Parkey's decision to appear on the TODAY Show, believing he did it for personal gain rather than to help the team get over the incident.

Parkey was in his first season with the team after bouncing around the league during his first four years. He's already played for the Eagles, Browns, Dolphins and Bears despite being in the league for just five total seasons and has converted on 99-of-118 field goal attempts and 149-of-156 extra points.

However, his next field goal attempt will almost certainly not be with Chicago.
