Antonio Brown is one of the best wide receivers in football. He's going through some major turmoil with the Steelers' organization and has been heavily linked with a move away from Pittsburgh this offseason. When life gets you down, people tend to seek out advice. So who better for the league's best wideout to talk to than Jerry Rice, the best receiver of all time?
Rice said he and Brown FaceTimed this weekend and Rice has revealed part of the conversation he had with the 30-year-old. According to Rice, Brown is interested in joining the 49ers this offseason.
This is something that was previously indicated on social media after tight end George Kittle tweeted at Brown, who gave a somewhat cryptic response, suggesting that he'd be interested in teaming up with the 49ers tight end.
Brown is coming off of a season that saw him record 104 receptions for 1,297 yards and a league-high 15 touchdowns. It was his sixth consecutive season with at least 1,000 receiving yards and 100 receptions.
Jimmy Garoppolo would have an elite set of weapons should Brown make the move to San Francisco, and if he isn't a locker room nuisance, Brown could be a huge boost to the team's offensive identity in 2019.
