The Texas Longhorns are traveling to Lawrence for a conference matchup against No. 7-ranked Kansas. It's the first time the two Big 12 sides will meet this season; they're set for another matchup at the end of January in Austin.
The Jayhawks have gone 3-1 in conference play thus far, suffering a 17-point loss at the hands of Iowa State. They will be looking to hold their own at Allen Fieldhouse when the Longhorns come to visit. Texas has a 2-2 conference record, having lost consecutive games to Texas Tech and Oklahoma State.

Kansas have been led by the play of junior transfer Dedric Lawson. The 6-9 forward is averaging 19.3 points, 10.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists and 1.2 blocks per game while knocking down 50.1 percent of his field goal attempts. Senior guard Lagerald Vick has been excellent as well, contributing 14.8 points and 4.0 rebounds per night. He's averaging 3.1 threes per game at an impressive 45.8 percent clip.
Texas' top performer has been Kerwin Roach II, who is averaging 13.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game. Freshman forward Jaxson Hayes has averaged 10.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 22.2 minutes per game this year.
