Of all the positives Chiefs fans can take from the first half of their divisional playoff game against the Colts, this is an obvious concern to keep an eye on. On Kansas City's third drive of the game, Patrick Mahomes came up limping after he was almost sacked by the Colts defense. Kansas City would eventually hit a field goal to extend their lead, but this clip of Mahomes struggling to walk back to the huddle isn't a good sign for KC.
Needless to say, the loss of Mahomes would be immense for this Chiefs offense. It's unlikely he'll miss much time for now, but he can ill-afford to take any hits to the lower half of his knee.
Mahomes’ knee did not bend at a comfortable angle there— Dan Wolken (@DanWolken) January 12, 2019
Upon watching the replay, you can clearly see Mahomes' knee bend awkwardly, signaling that maybe this was a minor tweak. Had it been anything serious, Mahomes would certainly be removed from the game and replaced with backup QB Chad Henne.
That's surely a sight Chiefs fans would like to avoid.
