The college football transfer market is heating up, and fast.

It's the NCAA's version of free agency, and there's no bigger name on that list than Jalen Hurts, who entered the transfer portal following this season (sorry, Tate Martell, you big phony). With many teams eyeing the former champ, it seems like he has his eyes on one top-10 program.

Amid plenty of Maryland rumors, Washington State recently followed Hurts on Twitter.

Imagine what Mike Leach could do with a QB like Hurts?

You may have forgotten how good this man is thanks to Tua, but this is the QB who threw for over 4,800 yards and 40 touchdowns over his first two seasons with the Tide. He's now older and wiser, as a team who dances around the top 10 could find themselves fighting for a playoff spot with Hurts.

Cougar fans, beware. This isn't the only related activity of the evening, as Hurts himself followed some important people associated with the Miami Hurricanes.

Things are just getting started, but you have to believe Washington State is in the mix after this move. After one of their best seasons in recent memory, in which the Cougars defeated Iowa State 28-26 in the Alamo Bowl, the future could look even brighter for Washington State. Adding Jalen Hurts could not only help them out on the field next season, but he could also solidify the program as a go-to destination for recruits and transfers moving forward.
