Tate Martell's short stint at Ohio State may be coming to an end, as the redshirt freshman quarterback has entered the transfer portal following the transfer of Justin Fields to the Buckeyes.

Perhaps what's most interesting about seeing Martell in the transfer portal is the 20-year-old's real first name.

Tate is apparently a nickname for his real name, Tathan. This was discovered after viewing his name in the transfer portal online.

Tathan Martell. Now that is a name.

With a name like that, it's no wonder that Martell has had commitment issues in the past. The quarterback initially committed to both Washington and Texas A&M before reversing his commitment from both programs and joining Ohio State. He's set for another career move already, with Miami and West Virginia reportedly interested in the gunslinger.

We will keep a lookout to see where Tathan Martell ends up.

He appeared in just six games for the Buckeyes this season, completing 23-of-28 pass attempts for a touchdown and 269 yards. He also rushed for two scores and 128 yards on 22 carries. His ceiling is through the roof, and he has the potential to turn his new team into a contender.

But given his history, who knows? He could decide to leave that school as well. Whatever his final decision is, Tathan Martell transferring could change the outlook of the entire college football season.
