Well well well, what do we have here?
It's 2019 after all folks, so though you might be rolling your eyes a little bit, we can't let anything on social media slide by without taking note of it.
In the case of Jalen Hurts, his recent Twitter activity could prove to be major news for the Miami Hurricanes. After it was announced Hurts was placed in the transfer portal on Wednesday, he's since only followed one head coach on Twitter. That coach is Manny Diaz.
Jalen Hurts has followed one coach on Twitter since news broke that he’s in the NCAA portal … Miami’s Manny Diaz. The Hurricanes are obviously very interested. https://t.co/UeeTuC5wQs pic.twitter.com/uWbRbFGax6— Andrew Ivins (@Andrew_Ivins) January 10, 2019
The Hurricanes are looking for a new, experienced starting quarterback. Hurts was benched for Tua Tagovailoa at Bama, but showed the country what he's capable once again when he powered the Crimson Tide over Georgia in the SEC title game.
Now that he's looking for a new home, his phone is probably BLOWING UP with coaches trying to recruit him. Miami, looking to get its swagger back with Diaz running the show, would make a ton of sense.
Jalen Hurts doesn't *have* to leave Alabama, but other programs are now free to contact him https://t.co/0aISOVeJc3— SI College Football (@si_ncaafb) January 9, 2019
Hurt will have his pick of countless programs to continue his college career. From this chair, Miami is looking like a pretty sweet option.
