The first half of the National Championship Game between Clemson and Alabama was simply majestic.
Both offenses came to play, lighting up the scoreboard. With the Tigers up 31-16, fans were FIRED UP and nothing was going to bring them down from their high.
Well, until the halftime show. Imagine Dragons and Lil Wayne just took centerstage, and to put it simply, they were a major disappointment. As you might expect, they're getting torched on Twitter right now.
Charlie Horse is a clown for this one, but he's spot on. So is Mr. Randy Jackson.
My takeaways: Imagine Dragons is awful live and Lil Wayne has done a lot of drugs pic.twitter.com/Y9EQPyPFZo— Zach Maskavich (@ZachMaskavich) January 8, 2019
I mean, he's not lying?
Seriously, what was Weezy thinking with his attire this evening?
They're showing a simulcast of the Imagine Dragons concert on the jumbotron at Levi's Stadium, and about half the fans in the stadium are looking at their phone.— RedditCFB (@RedditCFB) January 8, 2019
Yup, Instagram and Twitter were probably better options than paying attention to the performance.
Worst 1st half performance Tua or Imagine Dragons/Lil Wayne? pic.twitter.com/uAD2yYKfof— D. Rininger (@David_Rininger) January 8, 2019
Tua Tagovailoa did throw two interceptions in the first half. But was he as bad as Lil Wayne and Imagine Dragons? Well, maybe.
You're better than this, Wayne.
Thank goodness that halftime show is over. Now, it's time for the real stars to return to the field. Can Bama record a historic comeback?
