The Houston Rockets are in the process of overcoming their early-season struggles to an emphatic degree. They are on a five-game win streak and currently sit at fifth in the Western Conference, out of nowhere. Not surprisingly, this effort is mostly thanks to one man.

Monday night, James Harden led the Rockets to a 113-101 win over the Memphis Grizzlies. Harden put up nothing short of MVP numbers, recording a triple-double with an astounding 43 points in the win.

But somehow, that's been par for the course lately.

Harden has stepped up and is playing the most intense version of his game that we've seen in recent years. He's managed to take his undermanned Rockets team from nearly last in the West to back into the playoff race in under a month.

Even more impressively, he's on this stunning run without the help of his co-star Chris Paul, who has been out due to injury.

Love him or hate him, you can't deny Harden's effectiveness, and right now, he is blistering.

Harden looks to continue his exceptional play on Thursday when the Rockets take on the Golden State Warriors.
