It's incredible the delusional life that Jon Gruden lives through these days. He has a 10-year deal and it's already looking like a huge mistake.
This man has made some ridiculous moves and has some terrible theories behind his thoughts. Gruden just got through coaching this team to a four-win season, and somehow he's happy with everyone and everything.
Gruden says he loves his coordinators and the schemes they're putting together.
Gruden: "I love our coordinators," Guenther did a great job and "I love the diverse scheme implemented by Olson and Cable" ... That's for the hundreds on here who keep asking me about Cable's job security. Like I said, he is safe.— Vic Tafur (@VicTafur) December 31, 2018
So the strength and condition coach is on the way out but the men in charge of leading these disgraceful units can sit around still? Of course, makes total sense in Gruden's world.
The Raiders finished 26th in yards allowed per game and dead last in points allowed. The offense isn't much better as they're 23rd in total yards and 28th in points per game. Again, can Gruden please tell us what's to love here?
It's clear they're here to stay as a few of the staff members were around to welcome Mike Mayock into Oakland as the new Raiders GM.
Among those in attendance at Mike Mayock intro presser: Raiders DC Paul Guenther, ST coordinator Rich Bisaccia, Raider great WR Cliff Branch, DL coach Mike Trgovac.— Matt Schneidman (@mattschneidman) December 31, 2018
Anytime you can finish with only four wins and towards the bottom of the league in nearly every category, you have to keep your coordinators! Another brilliant move by the man in charge.
