After spending the 2018 NCAA football season without a coaching job, former Arizona head coach Rich Rodriguez is about to be back in the game.

The spread, up-tempo offensive pioneer will now join Ole Miss head coach Matt Luke and replace former Rebels coordinator Phil Longo.

Rodriguez has quite the extensive coaching experience, coaching multiple stints with West Virginia in the '80s and then again in the early 2000's before joining Michigan in 2008-10 as head coach, and Arizona from 2012-17.

His career record stands at 118-83, including a 5-6 bowl record, four WVIAC titles, four Big East titles, and one Pac-12 South Division title.

His innovative spread and run-pass option schemes will provide a major lift for a Rebels team that finished a disappointing 5-7 this season.
