In tonight's matchup between the Brooklyn Nets and Los Angeles Lakers, Jarrett Allen did something I've never seen before. As LeBron James drove to the rim, Allen decided to meet him there. And he won.

Instead of being turned into a poster like so many others have who dared to challenge King James, Allen stuffed him. I don't mean to overreact, but this guy deserves a statue for his achievement.
The feeling I get watching this is similar to the feeling people would've gotten watching the Titanic sink. I am totally in a state of shock and awe.
Jarrett Allen blocked LeBron James' dunk attempt. It's only the 9th time in James' career he's had a dunk attempt blocked. It was the 1,850th dunk he's attempted. pic.twitter.com/EvRAbjGckS— ESPN Stats & Info (@ESPNStatsInfo) December 19, 2018
Jarrett Allen is in his second season from the University of Texas and has proven himself as an ever-improving rim protector. If he keeps playing his cards right, even the league's biggest stars will have to think long and hard about whether they really want to roll to the rack when he's guarding the paint.
