This bowl will mean so much for both the Commodores and Bears as they look to finish their respective seasons on a high note after concluding their regular season at .500. Baylor has struggled all season long with games against ranked opponents. They gave up 66 to Oklahoma in the middle of the season, 58 to West Virginia, and also lost by two touhdowns to Iowa State.

Vanderbilt has been a bit of a different story in this regard. Though they have no wins against ranked teams, the Commodores have played extremely well in such matchups. Early in the season against Notre Dame, Vandy only lost by five. Their later matchups against Kentucky and Missouri were only one-possession games, and a game against Florida was only lost by 10.

How Can I Watch the Game?

ESPN will be broadcasting the game on the 27th, but you can also catch streams on College Football Reddit and the WatchESPN app.

Vanderbilt has played a lot better than Baylor this season yet has nothing to show for it but a 6-6 record. The Commodores have a breadth of experience facing good offenses and good defenses in the SEC, so the edge goes to them over a Baylor team that largely failed to impress at all this year.
