The great Adrian Wojnarowski has hit us with a classic Woj bomb, reporting that the Los Angeles Lakers are potentially in the business of acquiring a key player from the lowly Phoenix Suns, who are so far behind, they could use more pieces for a potential rebuild.

With the team not having much ammunition, their only real trade bait for a decent return is forward Trevor Ariza.

Per Woj, the Suns are trying to add a versatile guard and draft option in return for the 33-year-old veteran Ariza.

The likely target for the Lakers would be Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, who does have veto power if the Lakers are looking to move him but could be willing to accept the change in scenery if his playing time increases.

Two teams trending in the opposite directions. The trade cannot be official until Saturday, so if a deal is agreed upon, we won't see anybody wearing new threads for a few days.
