The Marquette Golden Eagles and the Wisconsin Badgers do not like each other. And after tonight, it's safe to say that the Badgers like the Golden Eagles even less.
The two in-state rivals went head-to-head in Milwaukee today, and the see-saw event went to overtime--but eventually, unranked Marquette came away 74-69 victory over the No. 12 Badgers.

Marquette upsets rival Wisconsin, led by Markus Howard's 27-point performance. Sam Hauser collected a double-double (14 rebounds, 13 points) while #mubb got its first W at home against the Badgers since 2012 – at a sold-out @FiservForum. pic.twitter.com/TkFF3dQd4Q
Powered by Sam Hauser's double-double and a team-leading 27 points from Markus Howard, the Golden Eagles were able to grab their first victory over the Badgers in Milwaukee in seven seasons.
On the Wisconsin side, Ethan Happ was spectacular, but his 34 points and 11 rebounds weren't enough to avoid the upset from a dedicated and talented Marquette team.

After today's game, both teams sit at 8-2, with Wisconsin bound to slip a few spots in the rankings, and Marquette requiring serious consideration for the Top 25 next week.
Regardless of the result, however, all Wisconsin basketball fans should be proud: they've got two very good teams in their state.
