The University of Michigan has a storied basketball history. This season, however, they have done something that had only been accomplished three other times in the history of the program.
With their latest own over USC, the Wolverines have improved to 10-0. It's only the fourth time they have ever started the season unbeaten to this point.
Michigan starts 10-0 for just the the fourth time in program history. Earlier this week, we discussed whether or not this is John Beilein's most impressive start.https://t.co/ieQ2Bo90yz pic.twitter.com/HIDNxte5Hc— Wolverine Sounds (@WolverineSounds) December 8, 2018
At this rate, Michigan is emerging as an early favorite to win the tournament. While there is still a lot of basketball left to be played, John Beilein's team is certainly off to quite a hot start.
In fact, they are one of eleven undefeated teams left in college basketball and there's a good chance that it will stay that way through the beginning of the conference slate. Winning is always great, but the way this team is accomplishing such dominance against tough opponents is really starting to turn heads across the NCAA landscape.

It's far too early in the season to get excited about any team, but the Wolverines are making it hard for fans in Michigan not to get their hopes up. If they can keep up this play for the rest of the season, then it will be hard to find a reason not to pick them to go all the way to the Final Four.
