It's that time of the year again! College football's regular season is over and the playoff teams and bowl games have been set. What's also been set is the finalists for this year's Heisman Trophy, and the competition is between three heavyweight quarterbacks in Tua Tagovailoa, Dwayne Haskins, and Kyler Murray. However, a teammate of one of the three candidates is lashing out at NBC after he feels his quarterback was disrespected in a social media post.

That would be Tate Martell, an OSU backup QB, who believes Haskins deserves some respect.

NBC Sports posted a graphic asking the fans who would win the Heisman: Tagovailoa or Murray? The only problem was that Haskins wasn't included on the graphic, implying that he didn't have a chance to win anyway. This fits the narrative for the past week that - for some reason - Haskins was a huge long-shot to win the Trophy after his spectacular season.

That's a head-scratcher because when you look at Haskins' stats, they're actually better than those of Tua and Murray. Haskins threw for more yards than either of them with 4,580, had more TD's at 47, and threw just one more INT than Murray with 8. His completion percentage was on par with Murray's and better than Tua's at 70.2%. He also contributed on the ground with 4 rushing scores.

Of course, Martell being Haskins' teammate comes with some bias, but with numbers like those, it's really odd that the man out of OSU is being passed over so easily. If anything, the true competition should be between Haskins and Murray, who have had the best quarterbacking seasons in 2018.

Haskins may not get any love from the voters this time around, but at least his teammates have his back.
