As if the Ohio State Buckeyes needed more talent, they have landed a commitment from 4-star-in-state linebacker Tommy Eichenberg.
Eichenberg, who originally committed to Boston College, is the No. 8 overall player in Ohio. He played high school football at St. Ignatius High School in Cleveland, Ohio.
Ohio State lands a commitment from 2019 St. Ignatius linebacker Tommy Eichenber. No. 8 player in Ohio, former Boston College commit https://t.co/oD8wbTxsqU— Bill Landis (@BillLandis25) December 7, 2018
Eichenberger is the No. 19 overall ranked inside linebacker in the nation.
He drew interest from several major programs in the country, including Michigan, Notre Dame, Michigan State, Maryland and Temple. After de-committing from Boston College back on Nov. 19, Ohio State became the clear favorite to land him, and they did just that.
Eichenberger joins Cave Stover as only two linebackers in Ohio State's 2019 class, which features two 5-star players and is the No. 10-ranked class in the nation as of right now.
