Yikes! This is quite the back-and-forth here. Urban Meyer, in his retirement press conference, dropped several quotes that regarded his health and ability to coach, justifying his rather sudden departure.

One member of the media, however, wasted no time jumping on Meyer for this showing of vulnerability, with Will Brinson starting the train early.

The CBS NFL writer does make a somewhat valid point here. Meyer would undoubtedly be happier if this win put Ohio State in the College Football Playoff, but his health? This has to be the coldest take of 2018.

Meyer's wife, Shelley, was quick to back up her husband on Twitter.

Not sure what exactly Ohio State or the Meyer family did to Brinson to deserve this kind of crude ridicule, but he certainly got the attention he so desperately wanted.

While the entire controversy involving Meyer lying about what he knew about Zach Smith's domestic abuse is appalling, Meyer is still a human being dealing with problems surrounding the health of his brain.

But hey, here's your five minutes of fame, Brinson. Don't let it go to waste.
