Philadelphia Eagles linebacker Kamu Grugier-Hill wasted no time this week when it comes to fueling the flames of the Eagles-Cowboys rivalry. Ahead of their rivalry matchup on Sunday in Dallas that could well decide the NFC East, Grugier-Hill dropped a quote that will undoubtedly rub the Cowboys the wrong way:
He didn't really just way what I think he did...did he?
He did. Let's see that in print.
Grugier-Hill was never a starter until this season, but he certainly posses starter-caliber smack talking abilities. The main reason why this will get under the skin of both the Cowboys and their fans is that Grugier-Hill is speaking the truth.
December has been an extremely challenging month for the Cowboys over the past decade or so. Also, since their Super Bowl win in 1995, the Cowboys have won just three playoff games.
Quite abysmal for "America's Team".
Is Grugier-Hill the right man to be talking, though?
FYI: Kamu Grugier-Hill is the guy who handled emergency kicker duties for Philly when Jake Elliott suffered a concussion in last year’s game at AT&T Stadium.— David Helman (@HelmanDC) December 6, 2018
He’s also the guy that dropped a would-be pick-6 from Dak during last month’s game at the Linc.
Should've nabbed that pick-six, brother! Would've helped.
This comment, however, could come back to bite Grugier-Hill and the Eagles. Philly desperately needs to pull out a win on the road at Dallas if they want to keep playoff hopes alive.
And Dallas will not pass up the opportunity to rub it in if and when they win. Regardless, this game will be a closely contested battle with serious playoff implications
