You figured there'd be some negative reactions to the bombshell announcement Ohio State's Urban Meyer will be stepping down as head coach after this season.
And for recruiting, the update released this morning has resulted in an elite defensive back from the 2020 class backing off his pledge.
Moments ago, 4-star safety Lejond Cavazos took to Twitter to announce he is opening things back up.
Please respect my decision... pic.twitter.com/xU3YyIcqkE— Lejond Cavazos (@lejondaryy) December 4, 2018
Ranked the No. 18 safety for 2020, Cavazos has more than 20 offers to his name, but had stayed strong in his pledge to the Buckeyes.
Other schools to put a scholarship on the table include Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Arizona and many others.
Despite this breakup with Ohio State, the 6-0, 185-pounder, who stars for IMG Academy in Florida, clearly stated in his tweet that OSU will remain a top school for him and they'll remain in the hunt. Could he end up signing with new head coach Ryan Day?
The wild day at Ohio State just got even busier with Cavazos making his surprising announcement.
