Former University of Oakland standout and ​Cleveland Cavaliers point guard ​Kay Felder was arrested early Monday morning for assault. 

According to the report from TMZ, Felder has been accused of choking a woman, with the victim being someone he's known for years. The report claims that the pair got into an argument at dinner, which escalated until Felder became violent. 

​​The victim was reportedly left with marks on her neck as a result of Felder's assault, and a friend of the victim called the police. Felder was taken into custody in Toronto, where he is currently assigned to the ​Raptors G-League affiliate, the Raptors 905.

Felder was booked with charges of assault and utter threats, but was released from custody later on Monday. He will appear in court again at some point in December.

The 2016 NBA draft pick has played in 58 games throughout his career for the Cavaliers, Pistons and Bulls. He's posted career averages of 3.8 points, 1.3 assists and 1.0 rebounds across 9.1 minutes per game.
