​The ​AP Top 25 for Week 5 has been announced and the Top 5 welcomes a new team to their clutches as the ​Michigan Wolverines have made a jump after their big week and impressive victory over North Carolina. The top four teams have remained the same, as Gonzaga, Kansas, Duke and Virginia sit atop the poll. 

Michigan is off to an 8-0 start this season and continue to climb their way up rankings. They were ranked No. 7 last week and made an even bigger jump the week before.

Some other big movement in the polls came from Florida State, Wisconsin and Texas Tech. The Seminoles moved up four spots to No. 11 while Wisconsin jumped 10 positions and are now the No. 12-ranked team in the nation. Texas Tech moved up seven spots and are now No. 13 in Week 5. 

Meanwhile, North Carolina has fallen to the No. 14 spot, and Oregon, Texas and Purdue have crashed out of the Top 25. 

​​The Big Ten is well represented in this week's Top 25, having seven teams in the rankings with Purdue on the outside looking in. The ACC has five teams in the Top 25, the next highest tally. 

New faces in the Top 25 this week include Arizona State, Furman and Nebraska, all of whom have had a strong couple weeks.
