The NFL has had a terrible week off the field and it's only just gotten worse. Video footage surfaced online on Friday which showed Kansas City Chiefs running back Kareem Hunt physically assaulting a woman in a hotel hallway.

In another disgusting turn of events for the NFL as a whole, it seems like the Chiefs have one choice if they want to make a real statement.

And that would be cutting their star in Hunt.

The video of Hunt replays a physical altercation he had with a 19-year-old female back in February of this year. The running back can clearly be seen shoving, bull-rushing, and even kicking the woman outside of his hotel room at the Metropolitan in Cleveland, Ohio.

The woman claims that the altercation occurred after she refused to perform sexual acts with one of Hunt's friends, while Hunt's team, naturally, claims the opposite, saying that she went berserk after being told to leave the room and became violent.

But right now, what started the incident doesn't matter. What matters is what happened next. After former San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was cut following his second accusation in a year for domestic violence, the Washington Redskins had one of the most despicable sequences we've ever seen.

Washington almost instantly picked up Foster and was later ousted for refusing to contact his accuser or his lawyer. Doug Williams would later come out and downplay the importance of domestic assault in defense of the organization's actions.

Yes, Hunt is one of the best players in the NFL. He's got over 2,100 yards and 25 TDs in just two years. He's only 23 years old and is already a Pro Bowler.

But, after seeing this video, his legacy is tarnished. The Chiefs need to step up and make the only decision on the table: cut the man.
