The No. 9-ranked Michigan State Spartans surely walked into their game into Louisville feeling good about their chances against a 3-2 Cardinals squad, but they surely did not expect this.
The two teams traded blows back-and-forth all night, with the underdogs in Louisville showing that they have every right to compete with the Spartans in a huge 82-78 overtime victory.
The battle between the two teams continued into the second half, where the Cardinals outscored the Spartans 35-29, led by Ryan McMahon, before the game spilled into OT.
The Spartans had an opportunity to ice the game at the free throw line with nine seconds left on the clock and the score tied at 67, but Kenny Goins couldn't make the bucket, and we got free basketball.
